1. Increased Mobility
Mobility and agility are things that many martial arts disciplines depend on. If you are looking to improve your ability to get across the ground and build up your body’s response to pressure, practicing martial arts is a sure-fire way to do so. (more…)
Boxing classes provide a fun, calorie-burning alternative to monotonous activities like running. Boxing 4 Fitness uses boxing moves to provide an aerobic workout. You burn calories boxing and running, but running gives you more control over how many calories you expend. Guides and calculators indicating calories burned are always estimates, but they give you a general idea. Below is an estimate based upon someone who weighs 59kg…
1) “I HAVE TO BE FIT BEFORE STARTING”
Sadly it’s true, we hear it a lot… The answer is No, you don’t have to be fit before you start, whether you’re super unfit, hoping to get fit or maintain fitness – It’s our job to help you get fit and enjoy the process. 86% of people that come to us have fallen off the bandwagon and need something new to get back on the horse. It’s kind of like saying “I need to become educated before hiring a tutor” but, isn’t that why you hire a tutor in the first place? The biggest thing to remember is that EVERYONE has to start somewhere. Taking the first step is always the hardest but once you do, martial arts are one of the best and quickest ways to get fit, in shape and is super rewarding. (more…)
While physical activity may be the obvious answer, experts say there are other tricks that can help you overcome the habit of weekend overindulgence:
1) Start your day out right. “Eat a healthy breakfast on the weekend, when you have more time,” says Susan Moores, RD, a spokeswoman for the American Dietetic Association. “You usually eat less during the day if you start with a healthy breakfast, and you get some good nutrition.” (more…)
Another happy customer losing 7 kilos and improving overall in just 3 months without any drastic changes, only making regular training a part of his busy lifestyle.
Paul, 27, Account Executive from Taiwan.
“I have been training in Champions Gym for three months, I lost 7 kilograms going from 87kg to 80kg.
“I started training at the beginning of January 2017. Nowadays I try to make 3-4 Muay Thai sessions a week. I feel great! I’ve been steadily improving my fitness, lost about 6kgs in body weight so far and still plan to lose a fair bit more. I still die during some of the sessions but that’s because I’m also pushing harder. It’s been super fun rather than a chore to exercise.”
We love sharing good news stories about our stand out clients… It’s simple; When you work – You see results. Eilish has trained with us since June 2015. Without making any drastic lifestyle changes Eilish made training a part of her week and the results have been great – 12 kilograms down, a drastic improvement in tone, stamina and general well being. In an age where fad diets, magic pills and failed promises are ravishing the pockets of desperate people wanting results, it gives us so much pleasure to share stories like this below: (more…)
Sad day today as we say good bye to the body lost by Nathan. It has become so bad now that people who haven’t seen him in a long time don’t recognise him. He’s fitter, stronger and looks 10 years younger going from 85kgs to a lean mean 73kgs through eating less shit food, dedicating 6 to 8 hours a week at Boxing & Strength training and drinking plenty of water everyday – A whopping 12 kilos… RIP Old bod. Amazing work Nathan Giglia
WOW 😳 Sometimes when you see someone everyday you don’t realise how far they have come. Losing just short of 30 kilograms.
On the left is Adriana prior to joining Champions Gym in May 2015. On the right is Adriana – 18 months on – What a transformation! Just like everyone, she has gone through times of low motivation, taken holidays, battled injuries, and had relationship issues. But Adriana just keeps turning up to training and overcoming the hurdles enjoying the Strength & Conditioning classes and smashing the 30 Day Challenge Programs.
Watch out for Adriana’s coming soon. This just goes to show if you want something bad enough you can achieve it.
Well done Adriana, you are an inspiration to all women!
